Governors of six Japanese prefectures seek business ties in Silicon Valley

Six governors from Japan gathered Monday in California to seek tie-ups between companies in their prefectures and Silicon Valley ventures.

The governors of Shizuoka, Okayama, Hiroshima, Fukuoka, Saga, and Oita stressed the advantages of local businesses at a conference at Stanford University organized by the U.S.-Japan Council, a Washington-based nonprofit body promoting bilateral relations.
