Irene Hirano Inouye was on Hawaii Island for the Hawaii-Japan Economic Summit, held at the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel May 9 through 11. She and host Sherry Bracken talked about the Japanese American National Museum in Los Angeles, the US Japan Council, the summit, and also a bit about the late U. S. Senator Daniel K. Inouye.

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Hawaii Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism (DBEDT) and the U.S.-Japan Council (USJC), a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit educational organization, announce the first ever Japan-Hawaii Economic Summit to be held in Kona, Hawaii from May 9 to 11, 2017.
