This event is by invitation only

USJC is hosting a private virtual event for TOMODACHI KAKEHASHI Inouye Scholars at Howard University and program alumni from George Washington University. This event will include a dialogue with Ken Inouye, son of Senator Daniel K. Inouye, about his father’s legacy, insights on civil rights and social justice issues, and work in strengthening the U.S.-Japan relationship. USJC President & CEO Suzanne Basalla will moderate the dialogue. There will also be special remarks from Mr. Kohei Akiyama, Director, North America Exchange Division, North American Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, and Dr. Leonard Muaka, Chair, Dept. of World Languages & Cultures, Howard University. Program alumni will also share their experiences and thoughts on these topics.
