On February 14, the U.S.-Japan Council and the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan welcomed a delegation from the California State Assembly to Tokyo. The group discussed topics including clean energy, trade, Japan’s economy and natural disaster preparedness and response.
The delegation included Assemblymembers Al Muratsuchi (JALD ’07), Chris Holden, Freddie Rodriguez, Jacqui Irwin, Buffy Wicks and Jim Wood, while USJC was represented by Members of the USJC (Japan) Board of Directors Stan Koyanagi (JALD ’08) and Russell Kawahara, Member of the USJC (Japan) Board of Councilors and Japan Regional Chair Henry Takata, Associate Steve Sakanashi (ELP ’15), Executive Vice President Laura Winthrop Abbot and USJC (Japan) Executive Director Junko Tsuda.
