We would like to take the time to say “Arigato” to everyone who has supported USJC this year – financially, programmatically and emotionally. We understand that your time and resources are limited, and we appreciate the extra effort you make to support the Council as donors, volunteers and leaders.

In case you missed it, here’s an excerpt from a talk with Admiral Harry Harris, Jr. on why he gives back to the community (as part of the Closing Plenary at the 2013 USJC Annual Conference held in Washington, DC last month).
Your support to the Council makes a positive impact every day. This is evident in the connections created across the Pacific and among our members, friends, business leaders and partner organizations. (And how amazing is it to be able to meet heroes like Kristi Yamaguchi and Admiral Harry Harris, Jr.?). We USJC staff also learn so much from you on the current issues affecting your industries, regions and areas of expertise. In turn, we are able to create fora to exchange ideas, including the Annual Conference and regional events throughout the United States.
INVESTING IN THE NEXT GENERATION

Another area of focus is our investment in the Next Generation. We celebrate our leaders in U.S.-Japan relations, but USJC is more than that. We see the importance of sharing their successes with the younger generation, and empowering more people to lead the way. All generations need to work together to shape our future.
This Thanksgiving season, we celebrate all the great things you have done to make us an even better organization. Thank you.
