USJC Stands in Solidarity with Black Lives

It is with great sadness that we once again bear witness to a divided U.S. that causes pain to so many. As an organization founded by Japanese Americans, the U.S.-Japan Council strives to champion inclusivity, diversity and equity. We will continue to examine our own biases, educate ourselves, have difficult conversations and contribute to bettering the world in any way that we can. We encourage our non-Black community to do the same alongside us.

We grieve with our Black colleagues, members, friends and community, and stand beside you against racism, oppression, violence and injustice. You matter.
