You\u2019re invited to support the Maui relief efforts by attending a special showing of \u201cDefining Courage\u201d at The Marsee Auditorium in Torrance on Saturday, September 9, 2023. The immersive live performance honors the most decorated US soldiers of World War II\u2014the 100th Infantry Battalion, the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, and the Military Intelligence Service\u2014which originated in Hawai\u2018i more than 80 years ago. The stories of these Nisei soldiers, many fighting for the US while their families were incarcerated in America\u2019s concentration camps, are told in a unique live performance that combines live storytelling, new and historic film footage, eyewitness interviews, and live music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This special “Aloha” edition honors Hawai’i with additional stories, and with dance by H\u0101lau Hula Keali’i O N\u0101lani and music by Nick Lee and Grammy award winners Daniel Ho and Tia Carrere. 100% monies raised will benefit the Hawai\u2019i Community Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
