The Business Advisory Board (BAB) provides a platform based in Japan to integrate business leaders from diverse fields including government, academic and non-profit sectors to expand people-to-people connections to strengthen ties between the United States and Japan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This event will include a keynote speech from Dr. Tomoaki Kato of Columbia University and a networking dinner. He is a noted pioneer in the multiple-organ transplant field; his work with both pediatric and adult liver transplant recipients has also been recognized. Dr. Kato, who practices primarily in New York, will deliver remarks on the topic of preserving wellness. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Tomoaki Kato, who was born in Tokyo, Japan, holds a Bachelors degree from Tokyo University and is a graduate of Osaka University Medical School. Dr. Kato moved to the United States in 1995 following the completion of an organ transplant surgery fellowship in Miami.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Kato began his career as a transplant surgeon in 1997 at Miami University before moving to Columbia University in 2008.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Kato is currently Professor of Surgery; Edwin C. and Anne K. Weiskopf Professor of Surgical Oncology; Executive Director, Columbia Transplant Initiative; Chief, Division of Abdominal Organ Transplant and Hepatobiliary Surgery; Surgical Director, Liver and Gastrointestinal Transplantation; Columbia University, Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He obtained a Master of Public Administration (MPA) in 2014 at Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 2017 at Columbia University Business School (CBS).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
