On March 20, USJC\u2019s Texas region hosted an in-person event at Rice University Jones Graduate School of Business in Houston, focused on innovative steps towards greener business practices and a more sustainable future. Climate and sustainability business leaders and experts presented to a next-generation audience about how local Japanese companies are investing in technologies to help mitigate climate change and move societies toward carbon neutrality, and about the opportunities for U.S.-Japan collaboration to solve issues around energy security, energy equity and environmental sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event featured five speakers, including Council Leader Ginger Koto Vaughn (emcee) and Rachel Meidl from Rice University, Katie Mehnert from ALLY Energy, Ryo Okumura from Mitsubishi Corporation (Americas) and Tatsuro Kobayashi from Daikin U.S. Corporation. (All pictured above.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
