{"id":711,"date":"2019-09-01T10:11:55","date_gmt":"2019-09-01T10:11:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.usjapancouncil.org\/?post_type=opportunity&#038;p=711"},"modified":"2025-08-12T02:16:58","modified_gmt":"2025-08-12T02:16:58","slug":"intern","status":"publish","type":"opportunity","link":"https:\/\/www.usjapancouncil.org\/ja\/opportunity\/intern\/","title":{"rendered":"Other Internship Opportunities"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The TOMODACHI Initiative, a public-private partnership between the U.S.-Japan Council and the U.S Embassy Tokyo, is seeking qualified interns on a part-time or full-time basis. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The TOMODACHI Initiative\u2019s internship program offers outstanding opportunities for college students, graduate students, and graduates who are interested in U.S.-Japan relations.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An intern\u2019s duties generally consist of program and event coordination and support, website\/social media support, organization and attendance at special events, student outreach and communication, writing and translation (as able).&nbsp; Duties may be tailored to the intern\u2019s interests.&nbsp; All internships are unpaid.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interns will work with individuals from the U.S.-Japan Council, the U.S. Embassy and other key TOMODACHI team members.<br>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Qualifications<br><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Ability to speak, read and write in Japanese and English&nbsp;<\/li><li>Self-motivation and ability to excel in a fast-paced environment&nbsp;<\/li><li>Ability to work for a minimum of twice a week for three months<\/li><li>Ability to work independently and on a team&nbsp;<\/li><li>Interest in U.S-Japan relations&nbsp;<\/li><li>Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, social media skills<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>To Apply:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please send your cover letter and resume (in English) to&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:opportunities@usjapancouncil.org\">opportunities@usjapancouncil.org<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The TOMODACHI Initiative, a public-private partnership between the U.S.-Japan Council and the U.S Embassy Tokyo, is seeking qualified interns on a part-time or full-time basis. &nbsp;
