SVJP\u2019s mission is to broaden and deepen the scope of ties between Silicon Valley and Japan through a variety of programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SVJP emerged out of the success of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.usjapancouncil.org\/governor-meeting-in-silicon-valley\/\">Governors\u2019 Meeting in Silicon Valley<\/a>&nbsp;in July 2014 (organized as part of the Governors\u2019 Circle) as well as&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.usjapancouncil.org\/prime-minister-shinzo-abes-visist-to-silicon-valley\/\">Prime Minister Abe\u2019s visit to Silicon Valley<\/a>&nbsp;in April 2015.
