Members from the USJC New York region stepped out of their virtual meetings and into an in-person gathering on July 12, for an evening of light fares and brighter conversations. Hosted by Council Leader Akiko Mikumo, her spacious New York apartment was the perfect shelter from the summer rain. The friendly gathering welcomed new members, including participants of the 2020 Emerging Leaders Program, and prospective USJC members to the regional community. Special guests included Consul General of Japan in New York, Ambassador Kanji Yamanouchi.
