アイリーン・ヒラノ・イノウエさん(米日カウンシル会長、元全米日系人博物館長)が7日、病気のため、死去した。71歳。同カウンシルが発表した。 米ロサンゼルス出身の日系3世。日系人の米国での歩みや、第2次世界大戦中に強制収容された歴史を伝えようと、92年に同市で開館した「全米日系人博物館」の館長を20年間にわたって務めた。また、08年には日米の交流促進を目指す米日カウンシルを創設し、会長に就任。今年1月には、年内で退任する意向を明らかにしていた。 Read more. Read More
