Alisa Tanaka

Alisa Tanaka is the Communications Manager for the U.S.-Japan Council. As the daughter of a fourth-generation Japanese American and a Japanese immigrant, she was raised in a bilingual and bicultural household. Her upbringing led her to earn a degree in Communications from Lewis & Clark College in 2012. She spent nearly four years in the Communications field before transitioning into international education, where she worked as an English instructor in San Diego, California, Changhua, Taiwan and Tokyo, Japan teaching a variety of students ranging from children to high-profile government clients prior to joining the Council.
