This presentation will introduce Keiro’s role as a community-based organization supporting older adults and caregivers, while sharing key trends and on-the-ground observations shaping the aging and caregiving landscape in Southern California’s Japanese American and Japanese communities. It will also highlight how Keiro is actively responding through culturally grounded programs, partnerships, and initiatives to address emerging needs and improve quality of life.

Kevin Onishi is the Chief Operating Officer at Keiro where he leads day-to-day functions that advance the organization’s community-based aging services. Kevin serves on the Board of Trustees at Hollenbeck Palms and is a member of both the U.S.-Japan Council’s Emerging Leaders Program and the Consulate General of Japan’s LA Next Generation Japanese American Leaders Initiative. He holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Public Health Policy from UC Irvine and a Masters of Healthcare Administration from Colorado State University Global.
