The Kualoa Education team is based in Hakipu‘u and located just a few minutes away from the Kualoa Ranch – Main Ranch area and across the street from Coral Kingdom.
The tasks may vary depending on the scope of work that is needed for the lo‘i during our visit. We will likely be pulling weeds, distributing hehihehi (mud), and clearing waterways. Kualoa is in the growing stages of the taro, so we don’t anticipate any harvesting or planting. There are other tasks that can be completed for those who don’t want to enter the lo‘i entirely. After our morning of hard work, we’ll enjoy a delicious bento lunch from Rainbow Drive-In. Rainbow Drive-In has remained a family-owned business and is now operated by Chris Iwamura, the 3rd generation owner and USJC Member.
Parking: Ample on-site parking is available at the Education Center
Capacity: 30 people (families welcome!)
