A Spectacular Celebration of Culture & Community

Don’t miss the chance to catch an incredible matchup between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Mets, while networking with fellow members from the comfort of a luxury suite. This year’s Japanese Heritage Night features an extraordinary lineup of pre-game festivities, highlighting several leaders and artists within our community:

  • Honorary First Pitch: Thrown by Mr. Hiroshi Kawano (Executive Chairman of MUFG Americas) and caught by our very own USJC member, Gary Moriwaki.
  • The National Anthem: Performed by Broadway star Marina Kondo, currently starring in the acclaimed Broadway revival of Ragtime at Lincoln Center.
  • Pre-Game Performance: A powerful, traditional taiko drumming performance by Soh Daiko.
  • Special Video Presentation: A tribute produced by the Japanese American National Museum (JANM), celebrating Japanese and Japanese American organizations and their vibrant communities.
  • The Stars on the Field: Beyond the festivities, this is an opportunity to see some of the biggest global Japanese baseball superstars, including Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, and Roki Sasaki.
  • Exclusive Commemorative Jersey: Every attendee will also receive a limited-edition, specially designed Mets Japanese Heritage jersey (pictured below), featuring striking cherry blossom motifs and custom script.
  • This is in conjunction with Japan Society of New York, JAA New York, JCCI, The Nippon Club, JANM, International House of Japan, and Japan Society of Fairfield County.
