The Hawaii region hosted a women’s panel titled “Local Leadership, Inter-Generational Pivots and Progress” on April 5. The panel included USJC Council Leader Cristina Moon (Daihonzan Chozen-ji) and USJC Associates Hisae Uki (Sun Noodle, ELP ’18) and Nicole Velasco (NORESCO, ELP ’15); the panel was moderated by Council Leader Carrie Okinaga (University of Hawaii System, JALD ’14). The panelists spoke on career successes, challenges, family life, mentoring the next generation and leadership philosophies and styles.
