On December 17, 2025, members and friends of the USJC NY & Vicinity Region gathered at Daiwa Capital Markets America in New York for the second New York installment of the Visionary Voices Leadership Series, featuring USJC Council Leader Miyoko Demay. The evening brought together leaders across sectors for an engaging conversation on leadership, culture, and purpose, with both in person and livestream participation.

Miyoko shared reflections from her more than three decade career at the intersection of global business and cultural stewardship. Drawing from her experience at Tiffany & Co., where she served as President of Tiffany Japan and Vice President of Global Sales Operations, she spoke about leading organizational transformation, cultivating strong company culture, and building enduring relationships with clients and teams across regions. In addition, she shared perspectives from her work as an Outside Board Director for Nintendo Co., Ltd, offering insights into governance, global strategy, and values based leadership.
Throughout the conversation, Miyoko emphasized her 4Cs of Leadership and her five points of career advice. Her reflections resonated deeply with attendees, sparking thoughtful discussion on how leaders can bridge business success with social and cultural impact.

Special thanks to Daiwa Capital Markets America for generously hosting the event, to USJC Executive Vice President Fred Katayama (JALD’23) for moderating, and to Council Leader Darin Arita (ALC’23, JALD’26; New York Life) for organizing a meaningful evening that brought the USJC community together around shared values of leadership, service, and connection.
