The Business Advisory Board (BAB) provides a platform based in Japan to integrate business leaders from diverse fields including government, academic and non-profit sectors to expand people-to-people connections to strengthen ties between the United States and Japan.
This event will include a keynote speech and networking dinner. We are honored to welcome Yutaka Ito, Financial Services Agency (FSA), Japan.
Yutaka Ito
Commissioner, Financial Services Agency (FSA), Japan
Yutaka Ito joined the Ministry of Finance of Japan in 1989. Since then, he has held a number of positions in financial supervision and financial markets. He worked at the Industrial Revitalization Corporation of Japan from 2003 to 2005, and at the Tokyo Stock Exchange from 2007 to 2011. He returned to the FSA in 2019 and served as Director-General of the Supervision Bureau from 2022 to 2025, before being appointed Commissioner in July 2025.
Ito earned a B.A. in Law from the University of Tokyo in 1989 and a Master of Public Administration from Cornell University in 1993.
