What explains the ever-growing cycle of confrontation and worsening strategic interactions between the U.S. and China? How can we make sense of current dynamics and its future trajectory? In the September SVJP Benkyokai, Yves Tiberghien, professor of political science at the University of British Columbia, will examine the crisis of China’s developing economic and military might, before offering insights on key current events such as China’s covid policy and the Taiwan issue. The session will be moderated by Glen S. Fukushima, Senior Fellow at the Center for American Progress.
