This special event brings together next-generation women leaders from Japan participating in the TOMODACHI Women’s Empowerment Program with professionals from the USJC Women+ Forum and the broader U.S.-Japan community. Over afternoon tea, participants will engage in facilitated dialogue exploring the shared challenges and opportunities of women’s leadership across cultures.
Whether you’re eager to share your own journey or curious to hear fresh perspectives from the next generation, this is a chance to connect with like-minded women navigating the U.S.-Japan space. Come for the conversation, stay for the tea—and leave with new connections and inspiration.
About Women+ Forum
The USJC Women+ Forum (WF) brings together a community of leaders of all ages and genders who are actively committed to enhancing the visibility, position, networks, and influence of women+ within Japan and across the United States.
About TOMODACHI Women’s Empowerment Program
The TOMODACHI Women’s Empowerment Program is a six-month leadership initiative addressing the persistent gender gap in Japanese society. It engages female Japanese undergraduate students from across Japan and pairs them with mid-career professional mentors. Through a hybrid model combining virtual mentorship and in-person training in the United States, the program builds leadership capabilities while providing access to a diverse professional community—and the skills to navigate, engage with, and learn from that community in a global context.
