As American and Japanese leaders navigate increasingly complex professional and personal demands, the ability to prioritize effectively and make confident decisions is central to sustained leadership and partnership.
Between the high pressure at work and the constant demands of personal life, it’s easy to find ourselves saying “yes” to everyone else’s priorities, leaving us anxious, overstretched and burned out. Or maybe the mental clutter leaves you feeling indecisive and stuck, not knowing where to go next. For some of us, the hardest part is saying yes to what we actually want.
Through the cross-cultural dialogue that will occur in this workshop, you can explore how different cultural and environmental perspectives shape prioritization and decision-making, which may result in helping you discover your own way forward. This 60-minute hands-on, interactive workshop is your invitation to pause and reclaim your agency. We will move beyond the “busy” to identify your top priorities. You will walk away with an inner compass—a filter to help you cut through confusion, make confident decisions, and protect your time and energy for what matters most in life.
Please come prepared to speak, be on camera and focus on activities with fellow participants. We warmly welcome non-English speakers to join this event. This session will primarily be in English with translations and Japanese breakout rooms will be available.
