DC Region Baseball Outing

A group of USJC members from the DC region shared a fun evening on April 23 at a baseball game at Nationals Park. With a big turnout of 32 people, including TOMODACHI alumni, the night was special. The visiting team was the LA Dodgers with star Japanese players Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto, and since it was also a Japanese Heritage Day, everyone got a Sakura-themed pink jersey! Those who stayed till the end were rewarded with Ohtani’s hardest-hit home run of the year in the ninth inning.

Many thanks to Council Leader Doug Ichiuji (US Bancorp) for helping to get great tickets and making sure everyone received jerseys!
