Aiko Harris
Program Manager
Aiko Harris is the Program Manager at the U.S. Japan Council, working remotely from Spokane, Washington. Her primary responsibilities include developing, managing, and implementing new and existing USJC signature, regional, and other educational programs. Prior to joining the Council, she was a Lecturer in the English Department and a Career Advisor at Eastern Washington University. She has published a scholarly article in WAESOL Educator and presented at national and regional conferences, such as Conference on College Composition & Communication (CCCC) and National Association of College and Employers Conference (NACE). She has also worked as a Student Advisor at Mukogawa Women’s University and supervised Japanese students studying abroad at Mukogawa U.S. Campus, located in Spokane. In 2019, she was invited as a guest panelist to the 2019 Symposium hosted by Institution for Women’s Career Advancement and Gender Equality Development at Mukogawa Women’s University. Aiko holds an M.A. in English, Teaching English as a Second Language from Eastern Washington University and a B.A. in English from Mukogawa Women’s University and a B.A. in Communication Studies, Public Relations emphasis from Eastern Washington University.
