Karin Tsumagari

Karin Tsumagari is Program Manager at USJC, working out of the Washington, DC office. Her primary responsibilities are to advance the mission of USJC’s signature, regional and educational programs, including the Toshizo Watanabe Scholarship. She was born in Japan and spent some of her childhood in the United States.
Prior to joining USJC, Karin served at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan. She worked for its headquarters (Tokyo), Embassy of Japan in Malawi and Consulate-General of Japan in Chicago.
She holds a Master of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University as well as a Bachelor of International Liberal Arts from Waseda University.
