TOMODACHI Initiative Japan

Natsuyo Taniyasu is a program coordinator for the TOMODACHI Initiative in the Tokyo office. Her primary responsibility is supporting program operations. Prior to joining USJC, she participated in the Grassroots Exchange Network-Japan (GEN-J) program, conducted by the Japan Foundation Center for Global Partnership (CGP) and the Laurasian Institution. She served as a Japan-U.S. exchange facilitator in Dallas, Texas for two years. While actively contributing to the planning and management of community-based Japan-U.S. exchange activities, she had the opportunity to be involved in supporting the TOMODACHI program and was deeply impressed by the sincere dedication of the young leaders to the relationship between Japan and the United States. She is originally from Hiroshima Prefecture and graduated from Hiroshima Jogakuin University’s Faculty of Human Life Sciences.
