Next Generation Summit

The Next Generation Summit is a virtual event engaging the U.S.-Japan Council’s younger community voices, including alumni of the TOMDOACHI Initiative and Watanabe Scholarship and U40 Members (USJC members under 40 years of age) in both Japan and the United States. The Next Generation Summit shines the spotlight on these young leaders to amplify their experiences and allow them to share their perspectives on the issues most relevant to their generations.

This program was created as a part of the USJC Signature Series – a virtual series of events designed to engage the U.S.-Japan community in lieu of an in-person Annual Conference during the time of the COVID-19 pandemic. The first Next Generation Summit was held on December 11-12, 2020, and the second run of the event was held December 10-11, 2021.
