2000 Japanese American Leadership Delegation

Overview

The first Japanese American Leadership Delegation traveled to Japan on September 25th – October 6th, 2000.  The delegation visited Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto and Kobe.  Highlights of the trip included meetings with high-level Japanese leaders including government officials, parliamentarians and business executives.

The 2000 delegation represented the cities of Del Rey, Los Angeles, Sacramento, Salinas, San Francisco and San Jose and diverse professions including agriculture, business, cultural and community affairs, education, government, journalism, law and non-profit administration.
