USJC has partnered with the Pacific International Center for High Technology Research (PICHTR) and the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST) Foundation to bring together an esteemed virtual panel of top Japanese and American experts to explore the necessary scientific, technological, business and policy advancements necessary for Japan and the United States to achieve a carbon-free power sector. The webinar will draw attention to the differences in challenges and opportunities that both countries face in tackling this issue. This discussion will also open the door for further diplomatic discourse on ways Japan and the United States can support each other and collaborate on this important quest towards a carbon-free power sector. The virtual panel will be held live via Zoom. Each partner organization will also host in-person discussion and networking receptions on later dates in Washington, DC, New York and Hawaii.
