ELP hosted the fifth Kaiwa Series virtual talk on March 28 on Next Generation in Japanese American Family Business, featuring Courtney Taira (King’s Hawaiian, ELP ’19) and moderated by Robert Gondo (Tokyo Gardens Catering, ELP ’19). Mr. Gondo skillfully facilitated the conversation, while Ms. Taira shared personal stories, such as her decision to go all-in with the family business in the wake of the global pandemic, her exciting new endeavor opening Hello Hilo in Georgia and her family’s governance process from hiring family members to dating and marriage.
