Ms. Tomoko Kizawa

Ms. Kizawa is the Japan Leader for Deloitte’s Risk & Financial Advisory Practice. She is responsible for facilitating cross-border collaboration between the United States and Japan and leading the execution of key strategic activities relating to clients, professionals and service capabilities. Ms. Kizawa has over 26 years of risk consulting experience and has served Japanese and U.S. multinational companies in industries such as life sciences, manufacturing, distribution, technology and consumer business. She has assisted clients with strategic assessments, risk management, corporate governance, financial and operational process reviews, process efficiency and internal controls. Ms. Kizawa worked in Tokyo from 2007 to 2011, providing internal control advisory services for Japanese and U.S. multinational clients. She is also the Inclusion Leader of Deloitte’s Chicago office, comprising 5,000 professionals across Audit, Tax, Consulting and Risk & Financial Advisory. She is responsible for strengthening an inclusive culture by connecting people through common passions and interests, building community across business, backgrounds and experiences, enabling a sense of belonging and encouraging authenticity, and serving as a central point of planning and collaboration. Ms. Kizawa also serves on the boards of The Japan America Society of Chicago and the Garden of the Phoenix Foundation. She received a B.A. in political science from the University of Chicago and is a certified public accountant licensed in Illinois.
